Dating a musician is hard

I’ll be the first to admit that guys in general don’t approach women respectfully anymore. During my subway commutes, in elevators, coffee shops, while ordering lunch, at music shows, etc. I spoke about this very issue with NYC-based Matchmaker & Dating/Relationship Expert, “The problem with dating in NYC is that with the rise of mobile dating apps, singles have more options than ever.

But it really hit me the other day – most women on the NYC subways are wearing headphones and playing candy crush. With all these beautiful women glued to their smart phones, even in so many public & social scenarios, infiltrating that digital barrier is a very difficult thing to do. New Yorkers are swiping away everywhere, but all of these “connections” are leading to nothing but an epic failure to actually commit in relationships.” Russo also states that, “People are so obsessed with the matches that are about to expire on their phones, that they are missing out on the opportunities passing by right in front of them.” I couldn’t agree with her more.

They can be happy, they can be tired, and they can be in love. The pop musicians will write very romantic lyrics, whereas, the rockstar musicians, or the heavy metal musicians may write some twisted lyrics that won’t make much sense to you, but trust me, the words have deep meaning.

They come up with such powerful lyrics, that, if the songs are meant for you, you will be swept away from your feet. Regardless of how complicated or uncomplicated the libretto are, you have a whole song dedicated to you, and is displayed by your musician partner, and their band!

Whatever I asked him to, no matter how silly the songs were, he never refused.

It is also said that because of their unique brain works, they tend to be quite sensitive.

Sadly, the groupies are trying to weasel their way into the VIP at Gansevoort to get a glimpse at Trey Songz, not come to your show at some hole in the wall joint.

But enough of all this groupie talk – Let me further explain why dating as a musician is so hard.

No matter his/her instrument of choice or musical genre, you know a relationship with a musician is like no other.

The dating world for musicians is often a complex one.

I don’t know if ALL the musicians in the world are sensitive or not, but I know one thing for sure, they are super talented!
